Pittsburgh Pirates draft Alex Manasa in the 11th round of the 2017 MLB draft

Alex Manasa was selected in the 11th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Manasa, a pitcher from Jackson College, was the highest draft pick in the history of Jackson College. Manasa is a right-handed relief pitcher who posted a 1.27 ERA and 31:3 strikeout-to-walk ration in 21 innings his freshman year. “I am just excited to keep developing and learning-just to learn something new every day and keep improving my game,” said Manasa.
